In addition to coating and grinding ring grooves of new piston parts or those requiring maintenance, STI | Hartchrom's range of services also includes coating piston rings, piston skirts, cylinder liners, crankshafts, valves and other components. In order to meet the shipping industry's most demanding functional and economic requirements, STI | Hartchrom has developed an innovative coating system for the grooves on piston crowns and the corresponding piston rings for large Diesel engines. This innovative coating system provides the best possible protection from wear and is suitable for both new piston crowns and for reconditioning those that are already coated or not treated. The modern processing centre in Steinach, Switzerland, was designed with a view to ensure short cycle times and maximum efficiency on an area of 2,000 m2.
